Nicole Henry is the Executive Director of Invictus Classical Press, a start-up company whose mission is to create unique classical curriculum for use by private schools and homeschools. She is a career teacher, having taught in traditional Christian schools, classical Christian schools, co-ops, and her own homeschool, Invictus Classical Academy. She has also privately tutored students at the elementary, high school, and college level in various disciplines.
Nicole recently earned a master’s degree in Theology from Heritage College and Seminary in Ontario, Canada, where she was born and raised, and promptly filed the certificate away with her bachelor’s degree in Theology from Moody Bible Institute, which she earned too many years ago to count.
She is married to Josh, an English and Rhetoric PhD, who is also a former Marine Captain. Together they traversed the United States, having a child at almost every duty station. Andrew, the oldest and about to graduate, was born in Virginia, Sophia, the sophomore, was born in the Lone Star State, Luke, the freshman, first saw the sun in Florida, and Rachel, the 6th grader, was born to the sound of waves in San Diego. After eight years in Canada, Nicole and her family have settled – for the moment at least – in Fullerton, California, where they are enjoying blue skies, beaches, and balmy weather.
Nicole’s first passion is teaching the Bible, which dovetails nicely with her love of history, geography, art, and literature – she’s a humanities girl through and through! When she’s not writing curriculum, homeschooling, running (or attempting to), and trying to keep her four kids fed, she can be found merrily reading through various books, listening to podcasts about all kinds of things, and teaching herself to draw.
