Summer Session May 24th – July 2nd
Camp Colossal: Dinosaur Camp: If you love dinosaurs, become a virtual paleontologist with us this summer, at “Camp Colossal”! Students will learn all about the types of dinosaurs, theories about the historical accounts of dinosaurs, study fossils & play games! This class is suitable for students in grades 3rd-6th and will whet their appetite for science in general and paleontology in particular.
PREREQUISITES: None required!
SOURCES: Answers in Genesis materials will be used as the main source texts for the basis of this class. Students are not required to purchase any of the materials.
REQUIRED TEXTS AND RESOURCES for Camp Colossal Dinosaur Science Camp:
- Blank “Field Notes” notebooks, in the style of this: Amazon.com: Field Notes: Original Kraft 3-Pack – Plain Paper – 48 Pages – 3.5″ x 5.5″: Office Products
- Standard household art supplies including: writing utensils (pencils or erasable pens recommended), 12 ct. colored pencils (Crayola quality or better such as Prismacolor suggested), scissors, glue, tape, markers, 1 black sharpie. Families can share art supplies.
A note regarding art supplies: Older students (especially those who excel in art), may prefer better quality materials, along with their own personal set of supplies. However, for younger students (3-4th grade), standard quality materials & family-style sharing may be appropriate. Please scale supplies as appropriate for your own family’s needs.
