Latin I will take your student on a fascinating language adventure, developing skills needed to decode languages and cultures.

  • Verb attributes
  • Present Tense
  • 300 Vocabulary Words
  • English and Latin grammar
  • English to Latin and Latin to English Translations
  • Sayings and prayers.
  • Sentence Diagramming
  • How to study and learn a foreign language

Our classes are limited in class size for dynamic and lively interaction, led by experienced instructors who love teaching as well as the beauty and clarity of the Latin language.

This class is a full year 1 credit high school program: The class will be taught and graded by your True North Homeschool Academy teacher. The coursework your child will complete in this high school level course is equal to one credit hour which may be awarded by your homeschool upon completion of the course. This high school level class is appropriate for 5th -12th-grade students who want a solid introduction to Latin with High School Credit.

This class is perfect training for the National Latin Exam. Class games and challenges are part of the learning, and students can expect quizzes, along with 5 Unit Tests throughout the year. This course is an excellent introduction to the fascinating study of foreign language and will set your student up for future Foreign Language success. Optime!

Combine this class with the National Latin Exam Test Prep, Old Testament and New Testament overview or Classical Memory Cycle I class for a more robust introduction to the classics. Buy a Bundle for greater savings.
