Physical Science: Science at the Movies

Physical Science: Science at the Movies  will explore students’ curiosity about science concepts based on the Marvel movies, such as how would the Infinity Stones work? And just HOW does Iron Man’s reactor power itself? If you’ve asked yourself these questions, then this science class is for you!

Join us as we journey together on an adventure to explore the scientific principles presented in the Marvel movies. Each week, we will be exploring a topic from the movies, including origins, electricity, nuclear science, & the periodic table of elements.

Students in grades 8-10 will also learn science study skills, lab safety & how to write a lab report! This is a great class to get students prepared to tackle upper high school level science classes & labs! Viewing of the movies will not be required, although, it may be helpful for full participation in classroom discussions. This is an inspiring Physical Science class.

This graded strand of Science at the Movies class fulfills all requirements/standards for a full Physical Science credit with Physical Science Lab.
