Description
U.S. Geography – National Parks Exploration will be a fun and exciting jaunt through the United States! Get your kids excited about the amazing geography, landscape and beauty of our country in this unique semester long class.
Come explore the astonishing beauty & priceless treasures of the United States through our amazing National Parks system! Students will learn about the major National Parks, including a history of the park systems, cultural significance of the parks and explore the beauty of the natural landscapes. For upper elementary through junior high students, this class would provide a strong supplemental elective to go with US History & Earth and Space Science. Upper Elementary and High school students are welcome to join!
U.S. Geography – National Parks Exploration will add an additional layer of interest to Environmental Science students, as they synergize Science with Geography!
PREREQUISITES: None required!
REQUIRED TEXTS AND RESOURCES:
- Blank “Field Notes” notebooks, in the style of this: Amazon.com : Field Notes: Original Kraft 3-Pack – Plain Paper – 48 Pages – 3.5″ x 5.5″ : Office Products
- Standard household art supplies including: Writing utensils (pencils or erasable pens recommended), 12 ct colored pencils (Prismacolor suggested)
