NCAA Advisor, True North Homeschool Academy
Tracey advises homeschool athletes through True North Homeschool Academy NCAA Advising Program.
About Tracey Clark
Tracey lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband and two children (and dog). She loves to have fun doing almost anything outdoors and has an insatiable curiosity. She is very active in her church and helps to lead the youth department.
Tracey has homeschooled her children for over 9 years in her school, named The Nerd Factory. Her philosophy is: “If I can teach them how to think critically, how to learn, and to have a love for learning, then they can learn anything.”
She has been a golf mom for a long time and is now adjusting to becoming a tennis mom. Her daughter is a high school senior and will be joining the Louisiana State University (LSU) golf team in the fall on a full golf scholarship. Tracey will have to continue to stay on top of the NCAA eligibility rules and guidelines because her 8th grade son is also a developing tennis player, who plays at the nearby USTA National Campus and aspires to also play in college.
Professional Degrees & Experience
Tracey is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with a bachelor of science degree in Biology from James Madison University. She worked full time in Eye Banking prior to starting a home-based business and then homeschooling.
I have had the honor of working with Lisa Nehring over the course of many years, both as a colleague and as an instructor for my middle school child. She is well versed in the teaching of literature, composition, and writing to a variety of ages. Lisa clearly states objectives and offers realistic goals to her students. As a parent and home educator, she offered suggestions and guidance that were attainable and gave me the confidence to guide my child towards success. Lisa has years of experience and insight into a variety of educational strategies and programs. As a fellow educator and homeschooling parent, her expertise and encouragement are top-notch. We have had multiple opportunities to collaborate and for me (and my child) to benefit from her wisdom. Any student or parent who has the opportunity to work with Lisa will benefit and be equipped to move forward in their educational journey.
